Our Sacred Mission

About Kamadhenu Trust

Named after Kamadhenu — the divine wish-fulfilling cow of Hindu mythology — our trust honours the ancient covenant between humans and bovines that has sustained Indian civilisation for millennia.

A Labour of Love in Brahmavar

Founded with a simple, profound purpose — to ensure that not a single cow in this region goes homeless, hungry, or unloved — Kamadhenu Trust is run entirely by a dedicated couple who have devoted their lives to this cause.

From dawn to dusk, they tend to over 300 cows — feeding, grooming, healing the sick, and providing dignified shelter. There are no paid employees, no large machinery. Just two hands, two hearts, and an unwavering faith.

Located in Brahmavar Taluk, Udupi District — a region blessed by the Sauparnika river and centuries of Vaishnava tradition — the goshala is a living sanctuary for these gentle animals.

The Heart Behind It All

Meet the Caretakers

"

We did not choose this work — this work chose us. Every morning when we step into the goshala and the cows turn to look at us, we feel the presence of God. That is enough. That has always been enough.

The Founders

Kamadhenu Trust, Brahmavar, Udupi

Two Lives, One Sacred Purpose

The trust is managed entirely by a husband and wife who wake before sunrise to begin the morning feeding ritual — carrying hay, mixing fodder, and ensuring every cow receives personal attention.

From treating injuries and infections with traditional remedies, to sitting through the night with calving mothers, they do everything themselves — with no support staff and no weekends off.

Their dedication is matched only by their humility. They accept no personal salary from the trust. Everything — every rupee donated — goes directly to the cows.
